Quest Atlantis
Quest Atlantis is an
NSF funded research project that attempts to build a social learning
for late elementary students
combining elements of play, social commitments and academic content.
Students research problems and issues on planet Earth in order to
help the people of Atlantis solve their problems. Key areas of research
have included:
- The effects of different media representations and interface styles.
- Evaluation of learning outcomes in a complex environment.
- Evaluating international and inter-gender sociability.
- Prototyping game-like, goal-driven scenarios for teaching water quality
and writing.
